TEHRAN A group of military personnel from eight nations, presently participating in a national defense program at Irans prestigious National Defense University, just recently visited Bu Musa Island and the tactical Strait of Hormuz.The delegation was accompanied by Major General Yahya Safavi, Senior Assistant and Advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and the head of the universitys International Faculty.In a declaration, Major General Safavi described that the primary function of the visit was to showcase Irans improvements in defense and security, especially in the vital regions of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
He highlighted the value of these areas for worldwide energy transit, market, and regional stability, highlighting Irans efforts to strengthen bilateral relations with its nearby countries.
These countries include India, China, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Oman, Yemen, and others in the region.Throughout the three-day visit, the military delegates visited several substantial Iranian centers, including the Shahid Rajaee Port, the Persian Gulf Star Refinery, Hormozgan Steel Company, and different shipbuilding industries.
They also checked out the ecological environment of Bomoos Island and the Jamaran destroyer, among the Iranian Navys essential vessels.
